St. Mark Athletic Program
St. Mark’s Athletic Program is designed to allow exposure to and participation in a wide variety of individual and team sports for those as young as 4 years to those entering the 8th grade. A program goal is to help student-athletes learn to apply Christian principles to their lives.
Dale Quickel, Athletic Director, emphasizes that assisting each child in understanding these principles and developing their God-given abilities is the responsibility of the coaches, parents and staff. It is vital that all student athletes and parents review the Athletic Handbook to understand the St. Mark Code of Conduct and participation guidelines.
The St. Mark Athletic Program is designed to:
- Improve technical skill, physical conditioning and promote a healthy lifestyle.
- Develop self-discipline, perseverance and respect for those in authority.
- Teach accountability, the ability to function as a part of a team and good sportsmanship.
- Demonstrate commitment, setting goals and working to achieve them and Christ-centered leadership.
- Give glory to GOD in every practice and in every game.
The interscholastic athletic program at St. Mark refers to the competitive sports between schools as an after school co-curricular event. Our interscholastic program is for students who demonstrate an emotional and mental readiness for competition and who possess a satisfactory level of physical and academic competence.
